Meeting of Konstantin Chuichenko, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, and Altangerel Oyunsaikhan, Minister of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia

On 27 January 2025, Konstantin Chuichenko, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, and Oyunsayhan Altangerel, Minister of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia, met at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
The Ministers noted the high level of Russian-Mongolian cooperation and discussed the possibility of further expanding the bilateral legal framework. Particular attention during the conversation was paid to a draft international treaty aimed at protecting the citizens of both countries in the field of international justice.
Konstantin Chuichenko praised the efforts taken by the Mongolian side in the international arena to protect the principles of international law, including the good faith fulfilment of international legal obligations in the field of justice.
As part of the meeting, a Programme of Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia for 2025–2028 was signed. On the basis of the Programme, specialists of the agencies will be able to actively cooperate in various areas, including international legal assistance, systematisation of legislation, forensic expertise, and development of penal systems.
The parties agreed to continue constructive dialogue and exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest. Konstantin Chuichenko invited foreign colleagues to take part in the 13th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, which will be held from 19 to 21 May 2025 in St. Petersburg.
During the working day, the delegation of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia also visited the Russian Federal Forensic Expertise Centre named after Professor Shlyakhov under the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
