Sport is a means of promoting world peace, unity between nations, and non-antagonistic friendly competition, which encourages harmonious development. At present, Russia’s national interests, including in sports, have come under unprecedented pressure from unfriendly representatives of the international sports community. What is the role and place of non-profit sports organizations in pursuing Russia’s national interests? How effective is the potential for interaction between such non-profit sports organizations and government bodies? What are the best methods of organizing and operating non-profit organizations to implement national priorities in sport?

Mokhmad Isayevich Akhmadov started his career in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly in November 2019 as a Senator of the Russian Federation. In November 2020, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy.
In the work of the Committee, he supervises several areas. First of all, these are issues of state policy and international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as the development of tourism. The Senator actively participates in inter-parliamentary and international activities of the Federation Council. Mokhmad Akhmadov is the head of groups on cooperation of the Federation Council with the Advisory Council of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bahrain and with the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman.
He is married and has four children.
