Businesses take decisions every day in a tense environment, under pressure from shareholders and partners. Ideally, all these decisions should comply with the law and take into account existing legal risks. However, in practice, there are numerous situations that are controversial from a legal standpoint. What should an in-house lawyer do in such a situation? A conservative approach assumes that the chief counsel, when giving an opinion or recommendations to management, should outline all the contradictory aspects of the situation and all the existing risks. Can artificial intelligence help with this? Is a manager ready to take such an approach in today’s dynamic business environment, study all the risks in detail, and take them into account when adopting decisions? Are lawyers and managers ready to use AI when taking business decisions?

Alexander Gennadievich Avdeiko was born on October 9, 1958 in the village of Yarmolintsy, Khmelnytsky region of the USSR. In high school he studied in the cities of Moscow and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In 1980, he graduated from the Khabarovsk State Institute of Physical Culture, after which he served in the Armed Forces, worked in the Kamchatka regional council of the All-Russian Sports and Social Society “Dynamo”, and in the district and regional committees of the Komsomol of the Kamchatka region.
In 1987 he was sent to serve in the internal affairs bodies. After graduating from the Kyiv Higher Courses of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1988, he served in various positions in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kamchatka Regional Executive Committee. At the same time, in 1994 he graduated from the Khabarovsk Higher School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In 1997, he graduated from the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a gold medal. For further service, he was sent to the Legal Directorate of the Main Staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where he successively held the positions of inspector for special assignments, head of the legal information department, deputy head of the administrative and legal department, head of the regional legal department, deputy head of the legal department of the Main Directorate of Legal Work and external relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, head of the department of by-laws of the Main Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
In April 2004, he was appointed to the position of deputy head of the Main Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and then of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Since August 2008 – First Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Since July 2011, he served as head of the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
On December 17, 2011, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Alexander Gennadievich Avdeiko was appointed head of the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

At the Federal Agency for State Property Management, he has been holding a position of the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management from March 2005 until August 2009. In August 2009, he was appointed to a position of the Head of Scientific Organizations Property Management. From December 2010 until March 2014 – a Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management. Since March 28, 2014 – Director of Federal and Regional Programs of PJSC "MMC "Norilsk Nickel". Pursuant to the order of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 20, 2016 No. 732-р, Dmitry Vladimirovich Pristanskov was appointed to a position
of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation – Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management. According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was decorated with a second-class Medal of the Order of Merit for the Motherland.
