Russian and Belarusian Ministers of Justice meet at SPILF 2024
Minister of Justice of the Russian
Federation Konstantin Chuychenko and Minister of Justice of the Republic of
Belarus Evgeny Kovalenko held a meeting during the St. Petersburg International
Legal Forum 2024, during which they emphasized the high level of cooperation in
matters concerning justice between the two ally states.
Chuychenko proposed updating
the ministries’ highest priority bilateral tasks.
In particular, the parties
agreed in the near future to:
– Conclude a new cooperation
agreement, including measures that are crucial for modern justice
-–Sign an agreement on the
procedure for the mutual execution of court decisions handed down by Russian
and Belarusian courts
– Work on an initiative to
create a common arbitration space between Russia and Belarus
To implement these tasks, the Ministries
will engage in a regular dialogue at the expert level.
