SPILF 2024 releases sports programme

The Mind Sports
Lounge will be open over the duration of the 12th St. Petersburg
International Legal Forum (SPILF), which will take place on 26–28 June at the
ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg.
This platform for informal networking will combine
various activities in chess, checkers, and Go and offer visitors the
opportunity to attend training master classes and try their hand at tournaments
and simultaneous games.
The SPILF sports programme is being organized by
RC-Sport, the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation.
On 26 June, Forum participants will compete in the
SPILF Chess Cup. The tournament will be held in a round robin system. Time
control for the game will be five minutes plus three seconds for each move,
starting with the first.
The SPILF Cup is being organized with the support of
the St. Petersburg Sports Chess Federation.
The Forum will also feature a simultaneous chess
session hosted by international grandmaster and senior coach of the Russian
youth team Sergey Ivanov.
The SPILF Go Cup will take place on 27 June. Forum
participants will be able to try out the favourite game of Chinese and Japanese
emperors, commanders, and thinkers. The tournament will be held with the
support of the Zvezda Go Centre.
The SPILF Checkers Cup will be held on 28 June, as
will a master class that will be hosted by winner of the European Veteran
Championship Andrey Napreenkov.
