Largest business events in Russia in first six months of 2025 presented at Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Roscongress Foundation joined the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation at the Ministry Press Center to brief
the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Russia on congress and
exhibition events held in the first six months of 2025. Events include the St.
Petersburg International Legal Forum (19–21 May) and the Nevsky International Ecological
Congress (22–23 May), both held in St. Petersburg, the Caucasus Investment
Forum, held 25–27 May in Mineralnye Vody, the ‘Let’s Travel!’ International
Tourism Forum, held 10–15 June in Moscow, and the Roscongress Foundation’s flagship
event, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, scheduled for 18–21
June.
Those who attended the briefing received
information about the upcoming events, how to participate, forum programmes, and
foreign guests and delegations. The briefing was attended by Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin, Deputy CEO
of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the St. Petersburg International
Economic Forum Aleksey Valkov, Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO and
Programme Director Armen Khachatryan, and Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO
and Head of the International and Regional Cooperation Directorate Alexandra
Ogneva.
Alexander Pankin kicked off the briefing by noting the importance of hosting major
congress and exhibition events in Russia with programmes dedicated to issues of
international importance. The forums bring together guests and participants
from around the world, promote international dialogue, and foster the exchange
of experience and best practices in a rapidly changing world.

said following the event.
Special attention was paid during the
briefing to the largest of all the events, the St. Petersburg International
Economic Forum, which will be held from 18 to 21 June. Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and
Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Alexey Valkov noted
SPIEF’s mission to serve as a platform for communication and practical tool for
business.
The briefing also touched on the SPIEF
Investment & Business Expo, where 100,000 square metres of promising
Russian and international projects, advanced technologies, and innovative
products and solutions are presented annually, with special attention going to
SPIEF’s thematic Innovation Space, Roscongress UrbanHub, VinoGrad, Healthy Life
Area, and Russian Design Space platforms. For the first time, this year’s St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum will feature the Roscongress
International Business Networking Platform, designed to facilitate networking
and make it easier to find new partners and conclude agreements on joint
projects.
Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO and
Programme Director Armen Khachatryan spoke about the upcoming forum programmes
and the themes of the events: SPIEF 2025, ‘Shared Values: The Foundation of
Growth in a Multipolar World’, SPILF 2025, ‘The Law: Learning from the Past to Shape the World of
Tomorrow’, the Nevsky International Ecological Congress, ‘Planet Earth:
Living in Harmony with Nature’, and the Caucasus Investment Forum, ‘Investment
Path: Past. Present. Future’. The architecture of the Roscongress Foundation
events was presented and covered every imaginable sector of the economy,
manufacturing, information technology, healthcare, education, trade and
telecommunications, construction, logistics, tourism, agriculture, mining, and
many other topics and issues of importance to the current international agenda.
Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO and Head
of the International and Regional Cooperation Directorate Alexandra Ogneva
spoke about the Roscongress Foundation’s work abroad, noting how foreign
embassies contributed to the events. Special attention was paid to the
Roscongress Foundation’s Roscongress International project and the ways it helps
unlock the potential for business collaboration with important foreign
partners.
