Experts to discuss development of BRICS humanitarian cooperation at SPILF 2024

The session ‘Humanitarian Progress in BRICS Countries: People’s Values and Rights and the Development of Cultural and Natural Heritage’ will be held as part of the 12th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF) on 27 June 2024.

One of the key discussion topics will be the modernization of the human rights component of the humanitarian agenda for BRICS+ countries. Experts will look at ways to create alternative independent institutions to study, measure, and evaluate how countries perform.

The session participants will discuss how to intensify cooperation in nature conservation and the study of the culture and values ​​of various civilizations. They will also examine mechanisms to counter manipulation by transnational companies in the online environment, in particular, possible algorithms for international control over the operations of IT giants.

The session will be moderated by Chairman of the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Valery Fadeyev.

The Forum is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Justice.
